The autumn equinox

Today is September 22nd, the autumn equinox. Today marks the day on the calendar when we have exactly 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. It is also meant to signify the coming of winter as the days in the northern hemisphere start to get shorter and the nights get longer. Abu Dhabi, however, is showing no signs of winter as yet. The temperature is still high, although it dropped below 40 in the last few days, a walk at night will tell you that the humidity and heat are still up, even if not in full force. This should change by mid October, keep your fingers crossed. Even though some days of the winter here can become quite chilly, it's the best time of the year for everyone.
